Anthony Anderson, whose stage name is Young Reason, makes music that is the diary of life.
Music has always been a part of Reason's life, but it gained special significance after the death of his mother when he was just 11 years old. His life began to fall apart, but then Reason began to rebuild it through music. He learned that his rhymes were poetry and that they told the story of his life. Reason began traveling with a youth group to competitions, including one in Washington, D.C. where they had the honor of meeting Maya Angelou.
Young Reason says, "I realized rhyming, poetry and music could be one in the same thing and that it was helping me with the hardships in my life. My soul had a melody... Life is what you make of it, but together we all make up one great big song of life."
In addition to making music, Young Reason is owner of NDD Entertainment which provides studio space for other artists. He also DJs for events, gives lessons and helps create demos for up and coming artists.
