The Immediate Family's adaptation of Perceval resurrects the classic Arthurian legend of an unassuming boy who undertakes the noblest adventure of all: the Quest for the Holy Grail. Songs of Bernstein, Cipullo, Heggie, Ireland, Musto, and more. Kelvin Chan is a versatile performer of the operatic, concert, and recital repertoire. Recent operatic engagements include the Imperial Commissioner and Yamadori in Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Madama Butterfly and with Houston Grand Opera, where he created the role of Goong-Goong in the HGOCo production of Courtside by Jack Perla. Mr. Chan has appeared with Cincinnati Opera, where he performed the role of Yamadori in Madama Butterfly, and Opera Theater of Pittsburgh, creating the role of Shi-Yin in RedDust, an opera electronica by Mathew Rosenblum. Program by William Randolph, Jr, will include works by Bach, Sowande, Vierne and Virgil Fox. William Randolph Jr. has been director of music and organist at Church of the Intercession for 18 years. A graduate from the Manhattan School of Music, Bill studied with Frederick Swann former organist of Riverside Church and the famous Crystal Cathedral. Bill has performed for Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu and George Carey, the Archbishop of Canterbury. He has given recitals at St Thomas Church, 5th Ave, The Riverside Church and in the caribbean at the Anglican Cathedrals in Barbados and Bermuda. In 1988 Bill was invited to the Grand Prix de Chartres Organ Improvisation competition in France. In 1999, Bill was featured in the performance of a work for Organ and Steel Band in Barbados and was organist for the state funeral of Sir Frank Walcott that was broadcast on BBC. Westchester Square Art Center, a newly formed art academy, has decided to make Cephas Center for the Arts their home and will soon be offering classes on the Cephas campus. The Art Center will be showcasing their services and providing information on upcoming classes. Westchester Square Art Center is a multi-discipline visual arts academy whose main goal is to encourage Bronx residents to develop the knowledge and skill necessary to compete in the urban art world. A strong emphasis will be placed on the exchange of creative experiences between Bronx artists and artists from other boroughs of New York City, and from the international art world. This three-day arts festival will feature the work of musicians, theatre companies and visual artists from the Bronx, all around NYC and beyond. It will kick off on Friday evening with an original musical, play and live concert. Saturday will be our main event with live theatre in the re-opened Foster Hall, live concerts & art exhibitions in St. Peter’s sanctuary, and an artists’ sale & concert outside on the grounds. With local bands & delicious local eats, this festival is a celebration of the Westchester Square community, the Bronx and the arts.
